Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A LAST-MINUTE withdrawal of objection by Dean Group Transport Ltd., of Salford, former carriers of Castrol Ltd. traffic in the North West, allowed Priestley (Transport) Ltd., Warrington, to make an unopposed application to take over this traffic in Liverpool on Monday. British Road Services also withdrew its objection. And the application was granted.

For Priestley, Mr. G. P. Crow told North Western deputy LA Mr. A. H. Jolliffe that the directors of Castrol had decided that Dean was no longer suitable and if this application failed Castrol would make other arrangements, possibly under C licence.

Priestley was seeking eight articulated vans and two articulated flats, totalling 531 tons, for multiple distribution of Castrol and associated companies' products, within 100 miles of a warehouse at Newton-leWillows.

Castrol had leased this warehouse but it would be entirely staffed and operated by Priestley, who would be paid a global figure.

This would include drivers' wages and depreciation on the vehicles and a mileage charge would also be paid. Warehousing and breaking-down of bulk loads would also be undertaken there.
