• The unauthorised use of a vehicle has led to two vehicles and two trailers being suspended for three days from the licence held by Ballindalloch, Banff-based Alister Clark at an Aberdeen disciplinary inquiry.
Back pay
• A Glasgow Industrial Tribunal has ordered Armadale, West Lothian-based Eion Robertson to pay Biggar lorry driver Henry Jack £415 in unpaid wages and overnight subsistence. Jack had been employed by Robertson for three weeks.
Off-street parking
• Parking vehicles in a Glasgow street has led to a week's suspension of the licence held by James Duffy, trading as Scrap Batteries, of Glasgow. Duffy was warned that future street parking could result in revocation.
Residents win
• A bid for a new international licence for two vehicles by Kevin BauIch, of Axminster, was turned down at a Honington public inquiry following objections from the local authority and residents.
Misunderstood rule
• ICS (Northern) received a conditional discharge for 12 months after Dewsbury magistrates heard that one of its drivers had only been able to produce a tacho chart for the day on which he was checked because he had misunderstood his instructions.
