Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A range of crew cab conversions for some of the most popular light truck chassis is now available from York Transport Engineering Centre at Mansfield.

For the most popular chassis types the necessary components will be stocked so that the conversion can be carried out within 18 days. The Leyland Daf Roadrunner basic conversion will cost 22,140 plus VAT, and the Renault Dodge '50' Series basic conversion will cost 21,315 plus VAT. Parts for the Iveco Ford Cargo range and the Volvo FL4 and FL6 will also be held in stock. The weight of the conversion will differ depending on the make of the chassis, but as an example the Renault Dodge crew cab adds about 80kg to the kerb weight of the vehicle.

The design of the cab extension uses welded hollowsection steel frames to match the material of the existing cab. The side panels are fabricated (or supplied from the manufacturer) in steel or aluminium, depending on payload requirements, and the roof panel is a ribbed plastic moulding. The original rear panel with the window is retained.

York can supply two levels of interior trim for the extensions, and an optional rear side door if desired. For cab extensions on less common chassis the company claims that its coachbuilding experience will ensure that the 'one-off conversion matches the quality of those built in higher volumes.
