• Two well-known south coast companies have got together for a triple celebration. It came about when commercial vehicle supplier and bodybuilder J. H. Sparshatt and Sons Ltd, of Portsmouth, handed over a Luton pantechnicon to the removals and shipping firm White and Co Ltd, Botley, Hants.

This was the 250th pantechnicon that Sparshatt has built for White and Co and its delivery comes in an appropriate year — the year White and Co celebrates its centenary and Sparshatt its 50th anniversary in business.
