• The New Law of Employment conference. intended for those who will have to apply the provisions of the Industrial Relations Act 1971, is to be held at the London International Hotel, Kensington, on November 18 at 10 am till 5 pm. Speakers will be Richard Jon Harvey (author, "Harvey on Industrial Relations"). Sir Diarmaid Conroy (president, Industrial Tribunals, England and Wales) and Robert P. Grime (asst dean of Faculty of Law, Southampton University and co-author, "Cronin and Grime on Labour Law"). Tom Harper (editor, The New Law Journal) will take the chair.
