Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Operators are reminded that on November 1 it becomes a legal requirement for heavy goods vehicles (rigids over .3 tons unladen and almost all attics) to be fitted with rear marker plates of approved design in conformity with the requirements of The Motor Vehicles (Rear Markings) Regulations 1970.

The markers must be fitted with their lower edges horizontal and at a height of not more than 1700nun nor less than 400mm a6ove the ground whether the vehicle is laden or empty.

If markings of types 2, 3 or 5 are used (those which are used in pairs) they must be fitted so that the half of the marking is as near as practicable to the outermost edge of the vehicle.
