k Useful Combined Tool for Coil Adjustments.

With reference to the special type of high-tension ignition mils for commercial vehicles, which are manufactured by United Motor Industries, Limited, and which we described Fully in our issue of the r8th of June last, we have now eceiyed a useful and ingenious combination tool, which

should greatly facilitate adjustments to ignition installations of this type. The small sketch shows the arrangement of the parts. The open and closed hexagon ends of the spanner itself are suited to the various lock nuts on the make-andbreak device of the UM.I. coil. The limb, which is marked A on the drawing, and which, with the small screwdriver (B), is pivoted to the spanner, is exactly millimetre thick, and it is used to determine the precise distance that should separate the platinum points when they are in the "break " position,
