A central tyre inflation system (CTIS) was one of the reasons behind Tir-Y-Berth, Mid Glamorgan-based Karl Jones and Son Haulage taking delivery of a 13-litre, 540hp Volvo FH. The firm said CTIS improves the FH’s traction off-road by lowering drive-axle tyre pressures. This can be done on the move, saving time and enhancing productivity. The FH was supplied by Truck and Bus Wales & West and comes installed with a Palfinger Epsilon 01702 chassis-mounted log loader.
