Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Department of Transport has strongly nied reports that it is about to introduce 50mph Rs or certain motorways.

According to the Daffy Mail newspaper, the )-f was considering the measure in a bid to beat 'Mc congestion on Britain's busiest stretches of ad. Motorways proposed for the measure were ported to include parts of the M25, the M6 and 12 in and around Birmingham, the M62. the M4

and parts of the MB.

But a DoT spokesman says: "There are no plans to reduce the speed limit on motorways.

"We are waiting for the results of the controlled speed limit experiment on the M25 and until those results are available we will not be implementing it elsewhere."

However he refused to rule out the possibility of speed limit reductions in the future.
