Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Road Haulage Association has ditched a plan to set up a "master haulier" quality stamp for companies meeting the required standard of operation.

Instead, the RHA will concentrate on pushing its members towards winning BS5750 accreditation, following the appointment of its first quality manager, John Jubber, earlier this year. The master haulier concept was proposed by the RHA's Young Executive Section of the RHA in March (CM 22-28 March), but was subsequently rejected by the main board.

When proposing the scheme, the YES stressed that it was not to be an alternative to BS5750. Instead it would concentrate on "image" and would also cover education, training, safety and the environment.
