• Stagecoach's plan to buy the National Welsh Bus company has been sidelined by a bid from the Cheltenham and Gloucester bus company for 40% of National Welsh.
The sale, which has been agreed in principle, will mainly involve the eastern part of the National Welsh.
Perth-based Stagecoach will not comment on this development. It already owns several English bus companies.
