FRENCH CONNECTION • A shipping route between Warrenpoint Port, Northern Ireland and Atlantique Nantes, Saint Nazaire, on the west coast of France has been opened by Mackenzie Line.
The weekly service will carry 6m and 12m containers and will leave Nantes on Friday, calling at Ellesmere Port on Mondays and departing Warrenpoint on Tuesdays.

VIVA ESPAGNA • l'ransfesa is offering extra unaccompanied freight capacity on the Plymouth-Santander route following Brittany Ferries' decision to increase its sailings.
The company is also considering reintroducing its regular groupage service between London and Madrid/Barcelona.
