• Redhill-based haulier Hammond Transport has won a further distribution contract to deliver parts from Toyota's Lutterworth distribution centre. Hammond is to take on 36 extra staff for the work, which begins in March next year.
Hammond will operate a 24hour stock delivery service plus an emergency 12-hour service.
A fleet of 20 vans, eight tractive units and 14 dernounts and drawbar trailers will service the contract.
