THE STONEFIELD on/off highway vehicle could be back in production in Scotland if receiver Bill Brownlie concludes successful negotiations with either of two interested parties.
A spokesman for the receiver told CM this week that negotiations with two main parties interested in restarting production at Cumnock "look quite promising", and said that a third potential buyer is also on the horizon.
Stonefield went into receivership in August, when the Government refused to continue financing the project, though the receiver is still renting the Cumnock factory from the Scottish Development Agency.
