AROUND 80 busmen's jobs in Guernsey were under threat as we closed for press on Tuesday.
The Guernsey Railway Company issued dismissal notices to its staff earlier this week, and it was anticipated that services would cease on Wednesday.
Nobody at the company was available for comment when CM phoned Guernsey, but a staff meeting was scheduled to try to come to terms with the announcement.
