FARES on Scotland's 127 Post Bus routes could increase by 25 per cent early next month — the second rise in less than a year.
The Post Office has applied for permission to increase prices across the board to meet rising costs. And it seems likely that the Traffic Commissioners will approve the plan, understood to have the backing both of regional councils and the Scottish De. velopment Department.
A spokesman for the Post Office said in Edinburgh that though this was the second in crease this year the first was on€ of 15 per cent January last Posi Bus fares would still be cheapel than those of commercial firms
