A portable, air-cooled ac welding transformer incorporating a battery charger and which works from a standard domestic power supply has been developed by SIP Indus-: trial Products.

Called the SIP 9013C, the unit features a central ammeter with an amperage indication from 0 to 12 amps and an automatic switch which intervenes if the battery charger is wrongly operated.
