A SERIOUS obstacle ti progress towards reducin motor vehicle corrosion i the absence of realisti accelerated tests, accordin to Dr R. R. Bishop of th Transport and Roa Research Laboratory in paper delivered to th Institution of Mechanic Engineers last week.
He said that there were n tests that could accelerai the "inside out" type of bod corrosion and it was th type of corrosion that WE costly, if not impossible, t repair.
Dr Bishop summarize recent research at TRR which investigated ways reducing the corrosiv effects of highway de-icir salt on motor vehicle There was now no low sa usage area in Great Britai he added.
