THOUGH THERE has been an increase in the illegal use of rebated fuel in road haulage vehicles this has been nothing like so prevalent as has been suggested.
A spokesman for HM Customs and Excise told CM, this week that a newspaper report last Friday had been exaggerated but agreed that as hauliers found the going tough, more drivers were succumbing to temptation.
