CONSIDERABLE development of the trolleybus services of Llanelly Electric Light and Traction Co., Ltd., are projected. The company is to apply to thc next session of Parliament for powers to extend its trolleybus routes from Pw11 Road, Llanelly, into Burry Port and the area of Burry U.D.C.

BIGGER VEHICLES IN I.O.M.?

LARGER coaches and buses may be aperated in the Isle of Man if the legislature adopts the report of a committee which has been making a review of passenger-transport conditions.

The committee considers that a case has been made out in favour of an increase in the maximum number of passengers which a hackney vehicle may carry. The great majority of existing vehicles carries more than 20 passengers, and it is suggested that the. maximum seating capacity should be raised to 26. The committee also recommends that stage carriages should also be allowed an additional six seats, and that, during rush hours, they should be permitted to carry extra passengers.
