riN Monday, the London Passenger %-.0F Transport Arbitration Tribunal approved 20 provisional settlements between London Transport and independent bu4 companies, for the transfer of the latter undertakings to the Board. A total sum, including later settlements, of £416,300 is involved.

Hope, 27,000; Holliday and Bangs, 28,800; Nelson Omnibus Co., 224,500; Perasque Transport Co., Ltd., .247,500; Perkins Omnibus Co., 27.250; Pro Bono Public°, Ltd., £11,000; A. H. Raper, 220,500; F. A. Rasey, 24,000; Sphere omnibus Co.. Ltd., £8,000; Supreme Omnibus Co., Ltd., 216,000, and 'United Omnibus Co., Ltd., 265,000.

The Tribunal reserved its decision on the agreement between the Board and the Amersham and District Motor . Bus and Haulage Co., Ltd., for the payment of 253,724, with interest at 5 per cent, from the appointed day. Actually, on the appointed day, the Board, through the late London General Omnibus Co., Ltd., had control of the Amersham concern, and no formal notice was given requiring a conciliation scheme to be submitted. Later, the Board decided to have a valuation made of the transferred undertaking.

On Tuesday the Tribunal approved the following settlements:—A. G. Surnmerskill, £20,000; Miller Traction Co., £24,500; Cardinal Omnibus Co., £16,750.
