Jail since 18 March after being arrested, convicted and Jailed for people-smuggling—all within 24 hours. His legal representation at the trial couldn't speak English, and the interpreter was the local town jeweller who had no legal experience.

He'd eaten only two apples because he had a filthy floor in the hole to use as a toilet!'

Tracey has visited David in prison, though the first time was very difficult. Once allowed in, she could only speak to David through Perspex and via a telephone.

"lie shared a room with around 40 other men, his mattress Is an inch thick and there's no towels or toilet paper. They have turned off the heating now because it is so hot, so he has to wash In cold water."

As CM want to press David was hopeful that he would be released this week on ball, pending an appeal later In the year. However, even If he Is granted bail the judge may Insist that he remain in Greece until the appeal hearing.

Meanwhile Tracey remains unwavering in her fight to get tier husband out of Jail: "I am furious—but the support from people Is keeping one going. I love him to bits and I want him to come home."
