THE MV Norland, requisitioned by the Government for the Falkland crisis, has been replaced by North Sea Ferries' Viking VI.
The ferry has been chartered as a temporary replacement and can cater for 600 passengers and 22 of the 12m freight units. The ferry it replaces had a capacity for 90 freight units.
The Viking VI will operate in conjunction with the Norstar on the Hull/Rotterdam (Europort) route from May 25. The Viking sails from Hull on all odd dates in May and from Rotterdam on all even dates.
