OVER 150 Road Transport In dustry Training Board em ployees will become redundan at the end of this month, and a least five small regional office are being closed.
These are the first effects o the loss of the passenger trans port and other sectors from thi Board's scope, and a spokesmai confirmed that other economl measures, including an eventua move from the Capitol Housi headquarters, are still being con side red.
Subject to final board ap prove!, the offices at Aberdeen Newcastle upon Tyne, Leeds Huntingdon, and Bristol will bt closed, and the Glasgov premises are likely to follow. Ir most cases, these only have staff of about four, and traininc officers in the areas will continuE to work from home.
