GEORGE RUFF, deputy managing director of P&O European Transport Services, takes on divisional board resonsibility for P&O Group companies Ferrymasters, Pandoro and Northern Ireland Trailers (Scotland). He will also be responsible for the total P&O European Transport Services finance function.

Potteries Motor Traction has appointed STEVEN ELLIS assistant traffic manager. He takes over from ROBIN ORBELL. Mr Ellis was formerly area traffic superintendent for West Riding. JIM LAIVIONT has been promoted to director and general manager of Ailsa Trucks (Northern) Ltd, the Volvo lorry and bus distributor at Barrhead, Glasgow. Following this appointment, TOM GOURLEY takes over as general sales manager and JOHN MILLER as fleet sales manager.
