Brown Bros, Special:zed Services: The latest addition to Brown Brothers Ltd, chain of depots is now operating at Whalley Banks Trading Estate, Blackburn (Tel.: Blakewater 86446). This is a specialized service branch to provide customers in the area with on-the-spot service covering tyres for commercial vehicles, cars, and so on, also vehicle accessories, replacement components
and Dulux " and " Belco " automotive finishes. Also announced by Brown Brothers is the full service on vehicle accessories now available at their Exeter specialized service branch.
New Lo.T. Group : Approval has been given for the formation of a south western group of the Irish section of the Institute of Transport_ Construction Exhibition: The third International Construction Equipment Exhibition is to be held at Crystal Palace, London, from Thursday, May 13, to Friday. May 21, next year. This is some six weeks earlier in the year than was the case with the 1963 show.
Severn Bridge Link Road : The Minister of Transport has made a grant of £74,997 to the Gloucestershire County Council towards the cost—estimated at £124,995—of a new road linking the industrial area around Avonmouth and north-west Bristol with the Severn Bridge. Vacmobile Exhibition: Kerry's (Great Britain) Ltd has arranged_to hold exhibitions of Vacmobile Manufacturing Co.'s equipment, including the latest models in the range of self-service machines at the Bristol branch from May 25 to 29, and Newcastle branch (J. Beaumont and Son Ltd.) from June -8 to 12.
Further Edbro Expansion : Only a few months after completing a 30,000-sq. ft. extension to the company's bodybuilding division at Foundry Street, Bolton, Edbro Ltd. announces that work has begun on a further 30,000-sq ft. single-storey building, due for completion at the end of the year
Gulf Project in Wales : Gulf Oil Corporation has acquired an option to purchase land at Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, Wales, and plans to build a refinery on the site. The new plant will process 2m. tons of crude oil annually (40,000 barrels a day), hut will be built so that it can readily be expanded to 3m. tons annually (60,000 barrels a day). The Milford Haven project will be Gulf's third European refinery. lames Booth Move in Glasgow : The Glasgow office of James Booth Aluminium Ltd. has moved to new premises at 40 McAlpine Street, Glasgow, C2.
Ben Film Available: A film of Lynwood and early stages in the building of Ben's (Motor and Cycle Trades Benevolent Fund) new nursing home has been presented to the, fund by Smiths Motor Accessory Division.
