AN appeal by Wonderlust Tours against the decision of the Yorkshire Traffic Commissioners refusing to grant a road service licence to operate a service of extended excursions and tours from Doncaster to Dover for the purpose of carrying passengers proceeding on a camping holiday in France and Spain has been allowed by the Minister of Transport.

the Minister considered that they should be regarded as experimental and that the licence should be limited to tours in the summer months of 1964 and 1965 and should broadly specify the tours in terms of the destination in Spain and duration. He was not convinced on the evidence before him that an allowance of 10 vehicles was necessary and concluded that the allowance should be not more than five minibus-type vehicles in operation on any one day.
