The firm’s fleet, past and present has been depicted on the MAN XXL by airbrush artists Tom and Andy Scott.
De-Machen says the company colours were picked because it wanted something “different and distinctive”.
Names on the front of the vehicles are those of De-Machen and Goodwin’s daughters.
“My first truck was a Daf 1900, it was my favourite vehicle,” says DeMachen. “This was in the mid-90s, it was bought second-hand and we took it to Scandanavia, France, Spain and Ireland. We put 400,000 miles on the clock with never any problems. I’m still upset about not having it now, I never wanted to see it go.”
