RYDER IS investing £24.6m upgrading and expanding its rental fleet.
Over the next 12 months, 530 new vehicles, including 250 tractor units, will join the rental fleet.
The rigids will be mostly Daf, while the tractors will mostly be Mercedes-Benz. The investment brings the average age of Ryder’s truck fleet to 27 months and reinforces the importance of tractors to Ryder following its £151m acquisition of Hill Hire last summer.
