• w S Yeates, one of Britain's biggest PSV distributors, has been sold to VL Bus & Coach, the marketing company for both Volvo and Leyland Bus. VL Bus and Coach says that a stand-alone company, Yeates Bus & Coach Ltd, will continue to sell buses and coaches at its Loughborough and Salisbury sites.
Charles Yeates, chairman and chief executive of W S Yeates, joins the board of Yeates Bus & Coach as a nonexecutive director.
Sandy Glennie, managing director of VL Bus and Coach, is acting as interim managing director, while Tony Harvey. VI, coach sales manager, becomes sales director for the new company.
