Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Drawlane-owned East Lancashire Coachbuilders of Blackburn has launched a single-deck coach body — the EL2000 — which combines new technology and updated styling in a bid to capture more of the expanding single-decker bus market.

The first 18 vehicles are being built for fellow Drawlane subsidiaries London & Country of Reigate, and North Western of Liverpool, and will initially be built on the Dennis Falcon chassis.

The body, which incorporates London Transport Schedule X requirements, is designed for easy accessibility and is available on most chassis.

The 46-seater accommo dates 24 standing on a gently ramped floor with a single step in the rear of the saloon. The entrance is wide and flat with grippable stanchions to help passenger movement.

Aluminium-framed bodywork has stainless steel wheel arches and impact-resistance GRP mouldings on the lower skirt panels for simpler repairs. Windows are rubber glazed for easy replacement.

The first examples will enter service on LRT routes in south London, while the North Western vehicles are destined for Runcorn busvvay routes.
