• An American development which enables operators to haul bulk and general cargo in the same trailer is now being offered in this country. It aims • to maximise a truck's capacity to win backhaul work.
Flexair consists of two separate collapsible 35m3 dry bulk freight containers. These stow in the front of the trailer when not in use, and are moved into place along an overhead track. They are then loaded through a weather-proof roof hatch. Simple air bags beneath the containers raise the sides to assist the unloading process through an opening in the trailer floor.
