Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Swedish crew-cab conversions of Volvo's FL614 firefighting chassis are being brought into this country by Ailsa Trucks for use on the latest fire appliance from Angloco.

The new vehicle is a water or foam tender fitted with a hydraulic tilt crew cab, a 910litre (200gal) capacity tank, a 4,550-litre (1,000gal)/min multistage water pump, and an allaluminium tender body. The first such vehicle has gone into service with Texaco at the company's Pembroke Refinery.

The six-man all-steel crew cab is produced by the Swedish company, Autokaross, based at Floby.

Ailsa Trucks offers the conversion at a price premium of around £12,500 on the FL6.14 chassis cab. So far the Hamilton-based dealer has imported 15 of the crew-cab conversions into the UK, with several going direct to fire brigades, such as Strathclyde.

Angloco has also launched a new fire-fighting, rapid intervention vehicle, built on the Volvo FL6.17 chassis, powered by Volvo's 155kW (207hp) diesel engine working through a manual gearbox. The vehicle is fitted with 4,550-litre (1,000gal) tank and a water pump which has an output of 4,350 litres (960ga1) of foam per minute.
