Mazda recall
ALL OWNERS of Mazda E2(XX) and E2200 panel vans built between September 1984 and September 1985, are being contacted by their local Mazda dealers to have their vehicles inspected.
Some of the 1,332 vans sold during this 12 month period have been found to have a faulty clip on the handbrake cable clevis pin which requires attention.
Mazda Cars has now begun a voluntary recall programme, to ensure that each van is checked. Dealers will be writing to all relevant van owners asking them to bring their vehicles in for inspection. The safety check takes around 20 minutes and will be carried out free of charge.
Mazda says that the item being inspected only affects the handbrake and not the normal braking performance of' the van. Further information on the recall can be obtained from Mazda Cars on 0892 40123.
