Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

UNCERTAINTY about bus deregulation has spread beyond existing operators to such companies as Smith Bros and Webb. the Alcester, Warwickshire specialists in vehicle washing systems.

About one third of the company's output goes to bus operators, so deregulation could prove worrying for the company's 50 employees.

Ken Wooley, managing director, admits: "We do anticipate problems from deregulation, but we do not know yet what they will be."

Commercial manager John Ziegler says deregulation will probably result in an increased demand for small washing systems capable of dealing with midibuses and minibuses.

The company is preparing for such a change by developing its Swift car washing system to cater for larger vehicles.
