• Between 30 and 40 Dodge truck centres are planned for the UK as part of the new Rootes organization for commercial vehicles. They will not only be heavy-vehicle centres in their own right but will provide an "umbrellafor retail Commer ane Dodge truck dealers—providing servicing and sales training, for example.
Within about two years dual Commer/Dodge naming of commercials will disappear. Light vanl will remain Hillman, under the car network: light and medium trucks and vans to just over 12 tom gross will be Commer; heavier models will air be Dodge. Karrier will change from a Marque name to a model name; e.g. Dodge Karrier municipavehicles. Rootes Will remain the overall company name.
Commer and Dodge will shortly have 12 months/ 25,000 miles warranties, including labour: "power train unitswill be covered for 12 months/50,000 miles.
