36-ft-long coach bodies announced this week total 79. Of these, 46, all of which are to be 49-seaters, are on order for 1964, including the fleet of 35 which forms part of the Ribble replacement programme announced in last week's issue. Of the remainder, five are for Ribblesdale Coachways Ltd., and three each for Southdown Motor Services Ltd. and Trent Motor Traction Ltd. Plaxton bodywork has not previously been associated with the Southdown concern.

Wallace Arnold Tours Ltd. continue to favour the Embassy design in 36-f form, six bodies of this type having bees delivered for Continental touring together with eight supplied as 49-seaters A feature of the contract for 21 coache now being completed by Plaxton for thi operator is the use of 8-ft 6-in-long sidg windows, each with twin sliding window above.

Lancashire United Transport Ltd, ha recently received eight 36-ft single deckers with Plaxton bodywork ii service, Six are 45-seat dual-purpos models, the other two being 49-seate buses. Eight 49-seater dual-purpos bodies are on order by this concern fo next year.
