In the London and Home Counties Area, MR. R. W. TREE has been elected chairman and MR. STEVE EASTMEAD vice-chairman.

MR. C. G. BROOK. general manager of the National Benzoic Co., Ltd., is to retire on May 31, after 37 years' service. MR. A. M. ROBERTSON, at present general manager of Scottish Oils and Shell-Mex, Ltd., has been appointed general manager designate from April 1 and will succeed Mr. Brook on his retirement.

MR. I. G. F. BELLAMY, M.A., has been appointed information officer of the Road Haulage Association as from April 1. This is a new position, and Mr. Bellamy will he responsible for collating statistics and other information for use by the Association in Parliamentary and other influential circles. He is aged 31 and is at present with the Petroleum Press Service.

SIR REGINALD WILSON is to be the next president of the Institute of Transport and will take office on October 1. Following experience as Director of Finance .at the Ministry of War Transport, he acted as adviser to the Control Commission for Germany before becoming a member of the British Transport Commission in 1953. He was subsequently appointed chairman of the Eastern Area Board in 1955, and is a director of the Scottish Omnibuses grotto.

MR, H. S. Docouss has been re-elected chairman of the Nottingham Division of the Industrial Transport Association. MR. H. J. WILKINs is vice-chairman, and MR. J. M. HANNA, honorary secretary and treasurer.

MR. M. S. TRAINER has been appointed contracts manager responsible for the coach seating and general trimming department of Rowland Hartrick, Ltd., and the Lush Furniture Co. He succeeds MR. E. SIEMP.

MR. JOHN LUCKHAM, manager of the overseas operations division of the Dunlop Rubber Co„ Ltd., has been appointed managing director of Dunlop (India). He succeeds MR. C. STACK. who is returning to England to take up a new appointment.

MR. F. ANDREW FIELD, home sales manager of Black and Decker: Ltd.. is leaving the company at the end of the month to become managing director of Eutectic Welding Alloys Co., Ltd. MR. M. F. J. WRIGHT has been appointed advertising managing of Black and Decker.

MR.. .J. 1. BERNARD has been appointed director and secretary of the British Electrical Development Association in succession to MR. V. W. DALE. .Mr. Bernard, who has been chief technical officer of the Associalion since 1936, will begin his new duties on April 1. Mr. Dale is retiring for health reasons.
