Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

0 NE of the most enterprising and successful bodybuilder in the country is Weyroann's Motor Bodies (1925), Ltd, Addlestone, Surrey, and 80 high is the consensus of opinion concerning its products that the works, even during the present state of industry, is engaged to full capacity night and day, whilst extensions are constantly being made, and during, the past four months the area of the works has been almost doubled.

Included in the new section of the works are three specially equipped and built varnish rooms, two capable of holding two double-deck buses each, and the third four. The walls are of a special heat-insulating asbestos composition 1 in. thick, and the doors are of the roller-shutter type, balanced so that they can operate with the minimum effort. The heating is effected by hot water radiators, of which there art six in each compartment, in addition to pipes at the top and bottom.

The roofs are dotible-pitched, so that lighting is afforded at both sides; this is found to be preferable to the ordinary saw-tooth arrangement. At each of the side walls are three tiers of lights mounted on wood bars which can be slid lengthwise individually by as mach as 8 ft. This enables the lamps to be staggered, so avoiding shadows--u very important point when careful varnishing is being carried out. In addition, the larger mom has a central framework carrying 15 100 c.p. lamps. 'This framework can be raised or lowered by ropes passing over pullies and can be adjusted to a nicety for single-saloon or double-deck bodies. Each lamp has its own reflector designed to give the best form of light diffusion. No ledges have been permitted anywhere on the walls and, as an additional precaution against dust, the latter are washed down frequently.

There is a thermometer in each room and it is quite easy to control the temperature to within 2 degrees F.

It should he remembered that varnishing only is done in these compartments, the painting being carried out elsewhere in the works, but before finishing, every body is thoroughly washed, for which purpose there are 12 hose hanging from the roof and providing full mains pressure.

A new shop for cellulose spray painting is also in course of construction, and additional varnishing rooms will shortly be fitted out. We may mention that these rooms are built under the supervision of a specialist in this class of work.
