The tramways committee Of BELFAST Corporation is to obtain tenders for a 2-2i-ton lorry.
Kt:warn; Corporation is recommended to buy a 2-tou refuse-collecting lorry, at a cost not exceeding £400.
The public works committee of SEDGLEX Urban District Council has decided to purchase an ambulance, at a cost not exceeding £500.
The road board of ABERDEEN County Council has appointed a committee to consider a proposal to purchase a number of vehicles for haulage work.
The transport committee of GLASGOW Corporation has accepted the tender, at 4950, of Bowser, Ltd., for a petrolinstallation system at Knightswood Garage.
Cm:amp Corporation is buying 10 Leyland double-decker chassis at a cost of £880 each and five single-decker chassis at £860 each, as well as 10 Northern Counties double-deck bodies at £645 each and five single-saloon bodies at £425 each.
BELFAST Corporation requires tenders for the supply of two six-cylindered turbine fire-engines, based on low load-line, chassis, as well as a 100-ft. turntable fire-escape and water tower. Tenders have to be sent to the Town Clerk, City Hall, Belfast, by March 30th.
DUNDEE Corporation has ordered eight Metropolitan-Cammell special all-metal double-deck bus bodies, five of which will he mounted on Thornycroft Daring chassis, and the others on A.E.C. Regent chassis. Two other A.E.C. chassis ordered by the corporation will have locally built bodies. .
The health committee of OXFORD Corporation recommends the purchase of a light van at a cost of £120.

The electricity committee of BEDFORD Corporation has authorized the purchase of a Morris 5-cwt. van.
FIFE County Council has accepted the tender of the Scottish Motor Traction Co., Ltd., Edinburgh, for the supply of a Bedford 2-ton end-tipping lorry, for use by the St. Andrew's District Council.
The Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., is, for two years, to supply bus tyres to CAR. DIET Corporation, the municipal -transport manager reporting that the contract would effect a large saving to the department.
Mini:monies Watch Committee recommends the purchase, at £740, of a Morris-Commercial escape vau. Other tenders were :—Simonis, £875; Leyland, £1,250; Merryweather, £1,080, and Dennis, 11,100.
The transport committee of the LOWESTOFT Corporation has renewed the contract with the Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., for the supply of bus tyres for 12 months at a reduction of 10 per Cent, on the present rates.
Included in the estimates of WORTHING Town Council for the next financial year are £500 for two motor lorries and £250 for a motor roller by the highways committee, £300 for a motor ambulance by the public health committee, and 1175 for a foam firefighting tender by the fire-brigade committee.
