FIFE County Council has accepted the tender of the Scottish Motor Traction Co., Ltd., Edinburgh, for the supply of a Bedford 2-ton end-tipping lorry, for use by the St. Andrew's District Council.

The Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., is, for two years, to supply bus tyres to CAR. DIET Corporation, the municipal -transport manager reporting that the contract would effect a large saving to the department.

Mini:monies Watch Committee recommends the purchase, at £740, of a Morris-Commercial escape vau. Other tenders were :—Simonis, £875; Leyland, £1,250; Merryweather, £1,080, and Dennis, 11,100.

The transport committee of the LOWESTOFT Corporation has renewed the contract with the Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., for the supply of bus tyres for 12 months at a reduction of 10 per Cent, on the present rates.

Included in the estimates of WORTHING Town Council for the next financial year are £500 for two motor lorries and £250 for a motor roller by the highways committee, £300 for a motor ambulance by the public health committee, and 1175 for a foam firefighting tender by the fire-brigade committee.
