In some instances, great improvements in running efficiency have been noted after drivers have been provided with smart uniforms and cabs equipped with comfortable seats, and a high degree of cleanliness insisted upon, not only in connection with the vehicles themselves, but also In respect of the garage accommodation and workshops.
Such attention undoubtedly exercises a reflex action upon the minds of all concerned. The men live up to their work and take a pride in it, which is vastly better than the inferiority complex so often found in instances where both staff and equipment are less well cared for.
