• The first MAN 8x4 242 F9() to enter Britain has gone into operation with Barry Molyneux Haulage in Merseyside. The vehicle was bought from Braem Gebroeders of Handzame, Belgium, in February, after Barry Molyneux spotted it in Commercial Motor's classified section and flew out to Belgium especially.
The £44,000 three-way tipper is used for muck shifting at the new industrial freight terminal at Warrington and at Wrexham for J K Industries.
Molyneux now plans to irn port at least 14 of the 8x4 F90s, converted to right-handdrive.
MAN has no plans to introduce this vehicle in the UK.
