• Clean-A-Drain of Maidstone, said to be the U K's largest independent sewage cleaning company, has invested over £110,000 in an unusual Dutch built twin-tank jet and vacuum truck.
Built by La Gram of Waalwijk on a Pet-Regequipped 8x4 ERF E10-325, and factory-fitted with twin PTOs on its Eaton gearbox, the Super Combo combines water jetting and suction.
The Uraca high-pressure water pump can deliver up to 3401it/min from its fixed front tank at 150bar, while the Siemens liquid ring pump supplies the vacuum, exhausting at 3,000m/hour.
A hydraulically-assisted arm carries hoses that can operate down 15 metres.
Its rear tipping tank is used for removing sludge, and the 9,000-litre water tank can be filled from hydrants or via a venturi system that can take water from lakes or reservoirs.
