• David MacKrill Engineering is offering a deadman type of hydraulic control for its rearend Skiploader in place of the current electronic push-button arrangement.
This option, which saves £1,000 over the list price, has been developed for a major private waste company to ensure that the machinery can only operate with a hand on the controls, and to simplify maintenance.
Bury St Edmunds-based DME showed the new control unit at last month's official opening of its new /2.0 million head office and manufacturing complex.
The 6,130m2 base with its 150 employees is producing over 10 vehicles a week: mainly Skiploader models. It expects to achieve a turnover of overk6.0m this year
Like many UK bodybuilders, DME is looking towards Europe, in particular Belgium, with a view to entering a joint marketing agreement.
