Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Eaton Corporation's frank admission of the extent of its involvement in politics is surprising to a Briton. E. M. de Windt, chairman, says with satisfaction:

"Our ongoing efforts to encourage and support the involvement of Eaton managers in affecting public policy and electing qualified candidates to public office have shown solid results. In the 1978 federal elections Eaton managers made their views known by letter, telephone and through face-toface meetings with candidates of both parties. Hundreds of Eaton managers, through the voluntary Eaton Public Policy Association, contributed nearly $100,000 to 89 candidates in

35 states. We are pleased to report that 61 of the EPPAsupported candidates were elected."

I am left vaguely wondering what would happen to a manager who voluntarily failed to support the voluntary association. Then I say to myself: if he was that daft he wouldn't be a manager, anyway.
