Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN ANNUAL SCOTTISH MOTOR SHOW is on the cards. The Scottish Motor Trade Association is working on plans for a spring show near Edinburgh next year, as well as the two-yearly Glasgow event in November.

It has reserved space at Ingliston, west of Edinburgh, for an East of Scotland Motor Show, which will be held from Friday May 16 until Monday May 19. It will cater primarily for cars and accessories, but SMTA envisages that there will be almost unlimited openair space for commercial vehicles.

A spokesman told CM this week: "At that time of year, the weather will be good enough to make this a success."

Meanwhile, efforts are going ahead to try to find overflow commercial vehicle space for November's Scottish Show in Glasgow.

Yorkhill Quay, which was used for last two events, will not be available for covered accommodation this year, but SMTA says it is still investigating whether a former city bus garage near Kelvin Hall can be rented.

SMTA says that this building would be "a tremendous boost" which would give commercial vehicle exhibitors a standard of display area "which they deserve".

A spokesman assured CM that potential exhibitors wil: be given ample notice if the negotiations are successful.
