WILCOX has built an open-topped tipper body, with suck/b1 equipment designed by Bulkerpart of Wisbech.

A 100mm (4in) diameter hose up to 2.1m (7ft) in length, attached to an internal vacuum compartment, is used for loading and unloading.

The 7m (23ft) long Wilcox aluminium body include fully enclosed re-inforâ–  vacuum compartment signed to withstand a vacu of 15in of mercury bel atmospheric pressure, m suring 2.3m (7ft 7in) wi 1.98m (6ft Gin) high and 0.4 (lft 6in) wide. The unit powered by the vehicle's gine via a gearbox pto.

A typical loading operat consists of the cargo mate' being sucked from grou level into the vacuum co partment where it enters auger and then is pressuri: by air through loading pipe5 the top of the thri compartment body.

The system is said to hay capability of up to 20 tom per hour. Wilcox has been a to reduce the original weii of the Inflo chamber equ ment to about 5cwt by usi alloy.
