TO meet the requirements of operators who wish to have special integral boxvan bodies built on their semi-trailers, R. A. Dyson and Co., Ltd., Liverpool, have introduced the lntergraVan. This new design consists of running gear mounted beneath a steel sub-frame on which the body can be built. Standard overall dimensions of the substructure are: length, 26 ft.; width, 7 ft. 8.5 in. The semi-trailer is designed to be suitable for 8-ft.-wide bodies and the dimension over the outer tyres is 7 ft. 11.75 in. With tandem-axle running gear the unit weighs 2 ton 18 cwt. but singleaxle or twin-oscillating-axle running gear is available as an alternative. Leaf spring or air suspension are also alternative fittings. Twin-line air-pressure braking. winddown landing gear and rear lighting equipment are fitted.
