Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

not already alarmed about the EC's green paper on industrial design, it should be now. When a top barrister, expert in international law and a motor industry specialist says there is a problem you had better believe it.

It's not for nothing that the vehicle manufacturers have manpower and funds set aside for political lobbying. And it looks like their efforts could be about to pay off.

CLEDIPA, the European body for independent parts distribution, is still lobbying in Brussels to alter the proposals. if it fails its not only the independent workshops ond.paintshops that will feel the effects it's the transport industry as a whole.

Would we have seen manufacturers reduce prices on fast moving parts if there had been no competition from independent suppliers? No it would not. While manufacturers need to recoup their investment, creating a monopoly on parts is not the way to do it. You are not totally powerless. A letter to your MP and MEP would add weight to CLEDIPA's case.
