CHEAP Sunday bus trips from the suburbs to London Airport are to be extended by London Transport. Another 40 suburban points will be covered by the trips, in addition to the 60 suburbs from which the buses are already running. The number of vehicles is being increased because of the airport's growing popularity. So far this summer 10,700 people have travelled on the Sunday buses for sightseeing trips to the airport.
The cheap return fares for the trips range from 3s. to 6s., with children travelling at half price.
